LG uses WRGB OLED technology 55-inch display mass production in the second half of the year

LG Display said that WRGB OLED technology is the best technology for mass production of large-size O LED displays . LG Display's 55-inch OLED TV display uses WRGB OLED technology that is different from RGB OLED display technology. The red, green and blue LEDs on the upper layer of the WRGB OLED panel are arranged in a vertical manner. The white light emitted by the diode displays color through the color filter film located under the thin film transistor, and there is no interference between the sub-pixels, and the color reproduction is accurate and the production efficiency is high. The unit area can be placed in more pixels, without the use of a metal mask (Fine Metal Mask, FMM), which can achieve ultra-high definition image quality.

In addition, a uniform color rendering capability over a wider viewing angle can be achieved with a color filter. In the RGB OLED technology, the blue organic light-emitting material cannot accurately display blue, and the short service life has been a problem in the industry. Unlike WRGB OLED technology, its color representation is accurate and its lifetime is long.
